Nigeria’s Built Environment Gets Boost as FG Reaffirms Support for Architects

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigerian architects in shaping the country’s built environment. This move is part of the ministry’s efforts to promote innovative and sustainable urban development practices.
Recently, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing the challenges of urbanization. He also highlighted the need for public-private partnerships to drive housing development and urban growth.
In a separate meeting, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, pledged to work closely with the Architect Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) to move the housing sector forward. He acknowledged the crucial role architects play in nation-building and expressed his willingness to collaborate with them.
