The Lagos State Government has announced the immediate closure of the pedestrian bridge connecting Oshodi Bus Terminals 2 and 3 due to safety and structural concerns.

Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, revealed in a statement that the move is aimed at safeguarding pedestrians.

He directed the contractor responsible for the terminal’s initial construction to install concrete barriers at the bridge entrances to prevent access.

“The closure will allow for a thorough structural integrity assessment to determine whether repairs or reconstruction are required,” Osiyemi stated.

Pedestrians have been advised to use the alternative bridge located just 30 metres away until the assessment is completed.
