During his regular weekly visit to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at Panti, Yaba, Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as Primeboy, a close friend of the late Afrobeat singer Promise Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), has been re-arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
According to rumors, Primeboy was arrested again yesterday while accompanying Ayobami Fisayo, also known as Spending, who was present when the singer passed away. It is stated that the arrest is a component of the current inquiry.
It was also discovered that while Primeboy was arrested and held for additional questioning at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba, Spending had been released.
This marks the second time the police have taken him into custody due to the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s passing.
Primeboy was wanted in relation to the Mohbad death probe, and the Lagos State Police Command set a N1 million bounty on his head in October 2023.
He claimed he was still in shock about his friend’s unexpected death in a widely shared video he filmed before to his initial detention.
After Mohbad, 27, passed away on September 12, 2023, his friends, family, and former record label became entangled in accusations and denials regarding the circumstances surrounding his passing.
