Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and LAMATA BRT Enforcement Team working in collaboration with Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) this afternoon impounded 257 motorcycles in Ikorodu Roundabout, Ogolonto and Agege.

The exercise followed the directives of the Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade to Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi to lead the joint team to impound recalcitrant motorcycles operators plying prohibited routes in Lagos State.

The team operated first in Ikorodu Roundabout and Ogolonto and moved from there to Agege where more enforcement was carried out. Thus, 257 motorcycles were seized in total before returning to the Command.

Commenting on the development, the Commissioner of Police commended the team and reiterated that the exercise would be a continuous one till motorcyclists in the state comply with the state’s revised traffic law 2018.

He added that the command would be strict in its enforcement till riders are ready to obey Lagos State transport policy.
