Recare Limited, the company of Natures Gentle Touch haircare products, has cleaned up the well-known Aswani Road in Lagos’ Isolo neighborhood as a proactive measure toward environmental sustainability.

The company asked its staff to complete the assignment as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

Along with the chief executive officer, Mr. Chijioke Anaele, the team swept the street, trimming the grass and gathering plastic debris, broken bottles, and other garbage that soiled the pavement.

Anaele summarized the main points of the exercise by saying that it supported government efforts to maintain a clean environment and the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

“We think that working together can have great results. Maintaining appropriate wellbeing in the setting in which we operate is a fundamental component of our corporate philosophy.

We also guarantee the health and safety of our workers, clients, and members of the neighborhood. This is what we’ve been doing for nearly ten years.

We are not arguing that the government is not acting appropriately. Indeed, they are. However, this deserves recognition. A lot of dirt is produced by the weekly market that takes place in the axis every Tuesday. In addition to the mandatory weekly sanitation provided by the government, we make an effort to clean up on Fridays as well, so that we can begin the next week in a sanitized environment.

According to Anaele, the company had previously cleared the drainage systems to permit unimpeded water flow during rainy seasons. This year, heavy rains are expected, so the company plans to elevate the collapsed blocks to prevent flooding of residential buildings and commercial establishments along the street.

Our dedication to sustainability goes beyond how we do business, and we are honored to use this clean-up project to improve the state of our environment.

He declared, “We urge other companies and people to join the movement towards a cleaner, healthier environment.”
