Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, has sent a warning to record firms that are attempting to imitate his approach by branding their performers similarly.

The singer has made suggestions that some record firms are attempting to copy his music style and persona in an attempt to model their musicians after him.

Record companies should be less clone-focused and more inventive, Rema pleaded.

He wrote, “Labels get creative, stop trying to clone me,” on his X username.

The vocalist of “Calm Down” also declared with pride that he “made Afrobeat EP’s a Big statement.” Since 2019, every new artist has used the same recipe. Oh no.
