Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been honored with the Silverbird Governor of the Year Award, recognizing his administration’s achievements and commitment to governance.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Sanwo-Olu dedicated the award to the people of Lagos State, acknowledging their resilience and support for his government’s vision and initiatives.
“This award is a tribute to the hardworking and resilient people of Lagos State who have supported our vision and initiatives. Your unwavering belief is what fuels our commitment to excellence,” he said.
Expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the governor credited him as the “visionary architect of modern Lagos,” whose leadership and policies laid the foundation for the state’s progress.
Reaffirming his commitment to good governance, Sanwo-Olu assured Lagosians of his administration’s dedication to delivering the dividends of democracy.
“Together, we have made significant strides; let us continue to work hand in hand to create a brighter future for every Lagosian,” he added.
The Silverbird Governor of the Year Award is an annual recognition of outstanding leadership and governance in Nigeria.
