In order to fulfil the goals of the State Government as outlined in Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus agenda, the Surveyor-General of Lagos State, Surv. Ayokunnu Adesina, has tasked the Office’s employees to be conscientious at work, stay dedicated, pay more attention to their well-being, and maintain a positive mindset.

At the first weekday prayer and gratitude session, which took place in the office auditorium, Surv. Adesina spoke. She emphasised the value of making sure that regular health checks are performed, stating that “Health is Wealth.”

He thanked God for saving their lives to see the new year, the State Governor for giving the office the tools it needs to function, and the entire staff for their support over the previous year. He also told them that Mr. Bode Agoro, Head of Service, has announced a monthly health walk that will start on January 27, 2024. For this reason, he asked every employee to make sure they participated in the activity.

“There would also be continuous capacity building training, tagged: ‘Building Capacity for Resourcefulness’, for members of staff to entrench efficient service delivery”, Adesina stated.

The Surveyor-General urged every employee to continue being devoted, careful with all responsibilities, creative, and on time for work. Additionally, he counselled employees who were considering leaving the company on their own to reconsider since in 2024 the office will start a productive, cooperative, and enhanced capacity-building programme that will positively affect every employee’s life.

“We will learn from our challenges and effect corrections for better results this year,” he said.

Both Christian and Muslim clergy members attended the event. They gave thanks to God for sparing the lives of every employee and hoped for further success in the New Year as well as continuous peace, divine protection, and good health.
