The lnternational Women’s Day (lWD) was celebrated with a hybrid workshop organized by the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) on March 8th, 2024.

Present at the workshop included the Chairman of the LMDC Governing Council, Justice Jumoke O. Pedro; members of the LMDC Governing Council, the Ag. Director of the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse, Mrs. Achere Cole ; the special guest speaker, Mrs. Debola Oni (MD/CEO of Grace’s Place); representatives of LMDC Panel of Neutrals, Management and Staff of the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse.

Hon. Justice J. O. Pedro in her opening lauded the remarkable achievements of women world wide, noting that women should always be celebrated.

Mrs. Debola Oni acknowledged the achievements, strength and resilience of women across the globe and praised the indomitable spirit of women who have shattered barriers, defied stereotypes and championed equality.

She envisioned a world where women’s rights are upheld (including during the dispute resolution process) and protected.

She noted that women facing trauma definitely are prone to depression and such women should be encouraged and empowered to reach their full potential in life.
