Veteran NTA Correspondent Aisha Bello Passes Away

Aisha Bello Mustapha, a well-known broadcaster and veteran for the Nigerian Television Authority, passed away.

 

It was reported that Bello, who was well-known for hosting Network News at nine o’clock at night, had died early on Monday morning.

 

She was reported to have worked as the General Manager of the NTA Parliament and retired in May 2022, though specifics regarding her passing are still hazy.

 

It was learned that she would be given a funeral prayer today at the National Mosque in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

 

It is known that the late Bello collaborated with veterans like Eugenia Abu and Cyril Stober.

 

In the 1990s and early 20s, she was most known for her vital role as one of the top newsreaders on NTA Network News at 9 PM.

 

The family announced the tragic news in a statement, saying, “Innalilahi wa inna Alaihin Rajiun.” May Allah pardon our mother, Hajia Aishat Bello Mustapha. Mama, you truly are an incredibly compassionate individual; you have a very big heart. Rahma, we hope you are having fun and we will miss you.

 

The funeral is set for Monday, December 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Abuja’s Central Mosque. May her soul  finds peace.
