The well-known Nigerian activist and rapper, Folarin Falana, also referred to as Falz the Bad Guy, has taken to social media to support Alex Iwobi, a player for the Super Eagles.
Nigerians have been harshly critical of Iwobi online since he was said to have performed poorly in Sunday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final.
Falz defended the player, saying that each and every one of the players who dons green and white to represent Nigeria in an AFCON game has made a sacrifice and should not be treated unfairly.
On Monday night, the rapper showed his support for Alex Iwobi and spoke out against cyberbullying by posting a photo of the player on his Instagram page.
“We win together, we lose together,” wrote Falz. Each and every player who dons the green white green to represent us is making a great sacrifice, and they shouldn’t have to endure this kind of disrespect.
“We talk a lot about cyberbullying, but we turn against our own people so easily. @alexanderiwobi I adore you, my friend! I’m grateful.
