Engineer Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani, the managing director of Lagos Water Corporation (LWC), has expressed gratitude to the company’s employees for their hard work and devotion in ensuring the success of the present restructuring initiative, which aims to enhance service delivery and restore the corporation’s former grandeur.

In a recent update to the LWC management team, Tijani made this statement about the company’s ongoing restructuring and reform process, which he characterized as necessary and ongoing in order to produce beneficial outcomes.

“We intend to run a result-driven and commercially focused system,” he declared. In order to improve service delivery, we want to instill a new culture of increased efficiency and get everyone on board.

He urged staff to be more committed to the corporation’s transformation process for the advancement of LWC, noting that Lagos Urban Water Sanitation and Hygiene (LUWASH) is currently supporting the water sector in various activities, including the rehabilitation of some micro/mini water works to close the water demand gap.

But as the process progressed, he ordered the personnel to resume their normal duties and urged the top officers to lead their respective departments since Key Performance Indicators (KPI) would serve as a benchmark for the allocation of employment positions.

In an effort to advance the Corporation from where it is to a desired future state, he also urged employees to collaborate with him on the organizational transformation.

Engineer Omolanke Taiwo, executive director of operations at LWC, stated that the program is essential for the corporation’s improvement in response to the most recent development.
