Nigerian musicians have been challenged to learn how to create “great music with depth” by the well-known musical duo Ajebo Hustlers.
The two claimed that certain Nigerian musicians lacked perspective and suggested that they take a cue from Omah Lay.
Ajebo Hustlers posted the following on their X handle: “You guys need to learn how to make amazing music with depth! Take advice from Omah Lay! Consider this: if Omah Lay hopped on this record, what would he say? Because you guys are so out of touch! You guys are so lacking in topics to discuss, and it’s boring as hell.
They did concede, though, that some gifted musicians are “dumbing down” their originality in order to win over followers who enjoy mediocrity.
“True artists are attempting to become more inane in order to become relevant! Because there is no love in mediocrity,” they stated.
